Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade 2024

Where: Assemble at Dorrance Ave. & McKinley Parkway, Buffalo, NY

Join your fellow SAG-AFTRA members at the annual Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade. 

10 a.m. ET Line Up | 11 a.m. ET Parade Begins

T-shirts will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. 

RSVP: Reservations are requested. Please complete the form below by noon on Friday, Aug. 30 to RSVP. You must be logged in to make a reservation.

The following information is provided by the WNY Area Labor Federation and Buffalo Central Labor Council:

All parade participants are asked to park their cars at or near Cazenovia park. Buses will shuttle participants from Cazenovia Park, starting at the Peter J. Crotty Casino to Dorrance Ave from 10 - 11 a.m. This will eliminate congestion at the beginning of the parade and participants won't have to walk back to get their cars.Please follow all parking signage on parade route, buses will be available from 1 - 2 p.m. to return to your vehicles. Buses will also be in the parade. Any participants wishing to ride may do so on a first-come basis.

The cookout is at the Peter J. Crotty Casino Shelter in Cazenovia Park. Food will be served starting at Noon. Please dispose of garbage properly. Garbage totes are for trash, and recycling bins are for recycling. 

This event is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing (paid thru Oct. 31 2024). Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.

The orientation will start at 2 p.m ET and will include time for Q&A.

Game On New York! Video Game Solidarity at the Labor Day Parade and March.

Join your fellow SAG-AFTRA New York Local members at the annual New York City Labor Day Parade and March on Saturday, Sept. 7. The theme of the parade is “All Workers. Many Voices. One Fight.” SAG-AFTRA is on strike against video game employers. Please show your support by joining video game performers as we take to Fifth Avenue with the strength of the entire New York City Labor movement behind us.

Softball Social

Celebrate summer with your fellow SAG-AFTRA members at the New York Host Committee Softball Social. Come out and meet-and-greet your fellow union members and root on the softball team as they represent SAG-AFTRA in the Performing Arts Softball League. See actors run, broadcasters hit and stunt performers slide (safely).

Light refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!

2024 NYC Pride March

Join the SAG-AFTRA LGBTQ Committee, New York Local President Ezra Knight, Executive Vice President and New York Local Vice President Linda Powell, New York Local Vice President Anthony Rapp, fellow members, and allies on Sunday, June 30, behind our SAG-AFTRA banner during the NYC Pride March! The parade steps off at noon in NYC and will begin at 25th street and 5th Ave. Due to a strict headcount by the parade organizers, all members interested in joining the SAG-AFTRA contingent must register by filling out the RSVP form below. Members can bring up to one guest (see the RSVP instructions below to add a guest to your reservation). Further information on when and where to meet will be emailed to you along with instructions. Complimentary SAG-AFTRA Pride T-shirts are limited and will be available for members on a first-come, first-served basis.

When: Sunday, June 30. Assembly time is 12:45 p.m. Please arrive at our meeting location in Section Area 3 (see location listed above) at 12:45 p.m. Arrival at this time is crucial, as our step-off time is at 1:30 p.m. Please allow up to 90 minutes to complete the parade route. While the event organizers strive to run on schedule, please note that the march time and step-off time are approximate, and could go past the listed times.

RSVP: Reservations are required; spaces and Pride T-shirts are limited. Please complete the form below to RSVP; you must be logged in to RSVP. The field to add a guest appears at the top of the RSVP form (above the fields to enter your first and last name). You must change the guest count to "1" in order to bring a guest.

programs, daytime serials, variety, quiz, game, reality, talk, news, sports programs and promotional announcements and it expires on June 30, 2024.

In order for you to be as informed as possible when participating in this important process, SAG-AFTRA is hosting a presentation, The Landscape of Broadcast Network Programming, as well as W&W meetings via Zoom. You must have a registered Zoom account to participate.

Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard, attend and participate in the process.
