The Wait List for Community Board #4 Residents and Community Board #4 Elderly is open now through January 31, 2019.
 
This is a "Limited Lottery" and each list will accept 500 applicants to be drawn by Lottery under the supervision of New York City Department of Housing, Preservation & Development.

It is important that you follow the instructions carefully when applying. Those who choose to apply electronically will have the option to check their status online when the Lottery is complete. You must only apply to the list that you are qualified for. For example, if you are a one-person household you should apply for a studio apartment in the appropriate category. If you are two to three persons you should apply for a one bedroom apartment. If you are 62 years of age or older, you can apply under the Elderly Category.
 
For those who wish to apply to the Lottery using a postcard, please mail your postcard to the appropriate P.O. Box indicated on the ad for the category you are applying to.
 
Please note:
*Once you apply in a specific category, this will be the list you remain on if you are chosen. There will be no switching lists at any time during the application process.*
 
Community Board 4 Boundaries
Southern Border: North side of West 14th Street. Eastern Border: 6th Avenue until 26th Street where the border travels west and goes up Eighth Avenue. Northern Border: 56th Street between 8th and 10th Avenues, 55th Street between 11th and the River, then up the West Side Highway to 59th Street.
