To explore ways to support members who experience housing and food insecurity, and eventually join with the Health Care Safety Net in a revamped committee.

MEMBER QUALITY OF LIFE TASK FORCE

WHEREAS a significant number of SAG-AFTRA members across the US are housing insecure, and/or food insecure, and

WHEREAS the core reason for any union’s existence is to respond to and care for the needs of its membership, and

WHEREAS the union has already demonstrated a commitment to such member quality of life issues by creating a Health Care Safety Net Committee,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that President Carteris create and populate a task force, to be approved by the National Board, to explore various means of addressing these basic human issues for our members, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Task Force eventually resolve into the Health Care Safety Net Committee, which will be renamed to reflect its expanded humanitarian focus.
