Member Roundup at the Ranch

On Oct. 27, members were treated to a special afternoon at White Stallion Ranch in Tucson. They were welcomed by Local Vice President, Southern Arizona Matt Welch; heard the latest union news from Local President Joe Corcoran; learned about new union contracts from Director of Locals Administration Lisha Brock; and got a tour of the ranch from Marty Freese, who shared entertaining anecdotes about the numerous films shot at the ranch. Members learned about production activity happening in the Tucson area from speakers Genie Joseph of Independent Film Arizona, Harry Findysz of Southern Arizona Video Productions and Laura Cortelyou of the Marana Film Office. Members also enjoyed networking and lunch. Many thanks to Welch, who did a fantastic job of securing the ranch, lining up speakers and arranging food and beverage.
