Member Mindy Raymond has been named president of Austin’s New Republic Studios by Chairman and CEO John Robison. She was previously director of marketing and development for New Republic and executive director of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance, as well as a busy working actor on such productions as HBO’s The Leftovers, The Adventures of Pepper and Paula, and countless commercials and voiceovers.
 
Member and humanitarian Barry Corbin was inducted into the 2018 Texas Trail of Fame at Fort Worth Stockyards for his contributions to preserving the American West. Corbin was previously inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame and the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, and received an Emmy nomination for his work as Maurice Minnifield on Northern Exposure.
 
In October, Pamela Weaver gave a public talk with Zonta International, a service organization with the mission of advancing the status of women. She was invited by the Zonta Austin Chapter to speak with its members as an actor, filmmaker and activist.
 
And member Denny Delk, a Corpus Christi resident, was elected to the board of directors of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans for a three-year term. Delk previously served on the Foundation’s investment management committee and currently serves on the IFEBP trustees committee.
