Members Connect at Stunt Social

On Jan. 11, 2025 the New Orleans Stunt Committee and Local Board hosted its second Stunt Social at NOLA Brewing & Pizza. Over 30 SAG-AFTRA members showed up to enjoy a day of camaraderie, networking and general communication.

The vibe was one of joyful anticipation for what the whole community is hoping will be a very busy and fruitful working year. Seasoned stunt performers and stunt coordinators connected with newly discovered performers to put faces to names and make acquaintances.

The event was a smashing success as exemplified by stunt coordinator Andy Dylan’s remarks, “The turnout was fantastic, and it was incredible to see such a wonderfully friendly community of stunt professionals come together. It truly opened my eyes to the remarkable talent that resides in NOLA. As a local for the past 10 years, I felt an overwhelming sense of belonging, as if we had all become a family. Special thanks to Sean Braud, our SAG-AFTRA Local Board member and chair of the NOLA Stunt Committee for organizing such a well-executed event. It was uplifting to see the enthusiasm in the room — everyone seemed genuinely eager to collaborate rather than compete. This is a testament to the great network we have built together, and I am proud to be part of such a supportive community. I look forward to more gatherings like this in the future, as I believe it’s crucial for us to stay connected, help one another, and remain loyal to our local family of stunt professionals. Together, we can ensure that we always have each others’ backs!”  

The New Orleans Local Stunt Committee would like to thank our local SAG-AFTRA executive director, Lisha Brock, for helping to organize the event, as well as local National Board member Diana Boylston for showing up in support.
