A Message From Colorado Local President Sonny G.

Dear Member,

As we embrace the joy and warmth of the holiday season, I extend heartfelt greetings to all of you. This time of year reminds us of the importance of community and connection, and I am grateful for the dedication and spirit each of you brings to our SAG-AFTRA Colorado Local.

First off, it is with mixed emotions that I announce the departure of our esteemed executive director, Julie Crane. Julie has been an invaluable part of our team, leading with passion, integrity and a commitment to our mission. We are deeply thankful for her years of service and the positive impact she has made on our organization. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

Going forward, leadership has appointed members to a search committee to begin the process of finding our next executive director. We are committed to identifying a new ED who will continue to drive our mission forward with the same dedication and excellence that Julie exemplified.

Next, our SAG-AFTRA Colorado Local Membership Meeting and Actor’s Hours: Holiday Party on Dec. 9 was a fantastic success, bringing together our vibrant community for an evening filled with networking, laughter and festive cheer. Members enjoyed engaging discussions and a spirited celebration of our achievements over the year. We look forward to seeing you at our next Actor’s Hours event, happening soon — stay tuned for details!

On that note, we have an exciting year ahead; I’m thrilled to share some of the other incredible developments taking place within our community. We’ve forged new partnerships in the southern Colorado media and entertainment sector, strengthening our presence and expanding opportunities for our members.

A key highlight is the establishment of a multimedia creative space for SAG-AFTRA actors at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo, Colorado. This space will be designed to foster creativity and collaboration, providing a vibrant environment for our members to thrive in the southern Colorado region. Stay tuned for more information on this new development and other exciting collaborations we are forging around the state!

As always, thank you for your continued support and involvement. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and peaceful holiday season.

Warm regards,

Sonny G.
Colorado Local President
