Hello everyone. I hope your year is shaping up to be a good one so far! You all mean so much to me and I try to show this to everyone who reaches out to me either in person, on the phone or through email.

I want to focus my letter to members this month mainly on the importance of attending our SAG-AFTRA Nevada Local membership meetings. Held once or twice per year, this is your chance to find out what’s going on with our local and beyond, catch up with other members and your local board, and enjoy some sandwiches and soda.

The next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, April 26. This is not your official notice. You will receive that from SAG-AFTRA but just a reminder from me so you can put it on your calendars. I sure would love to see all of you there on the 26th.

Also, for those of you who have been attending the SAG-AFTRA Nevada Local conservatories, thank you for showing your support for this program and for continuing to improve yourselves as actors through education. Some of our last sessions included voiceover coach Linda Bearman, acting coach Adam Hill and longtime L.A.-based casting director Bill Dance.

Please remember our conservatory program is for all interested actors, not just union members. So go ahead and bring that friend or family member interested in learning the biz that is too shy to approach us alone. Let them know they are welcome in our conservatory and that the membership price for an entire year is only $80, ($40 for SAG-AFTRA members). You can also attend just one session for $25 each. Please go to SAGAFTRA.org for an application for the SAG-AFTRA Conservatory and/or email me at nevada@SAGAFTRA.org.
