A Message from Philadelphia Local President Sam Clover

Dear Member,

Last week, you received an email notification regarding member complaints about an offensive social media post by a Local Board member. The Board reviewed allowable courses of action in order to swiftly and properly address the situation in accordance with federal labor laws and the SAG-AFTRA Constitution. The member has taken down the post and resigned from the Board effective immediately. 

At Wednesday night's meeting, the Local Board filled the vacant position with Lyman Chen.

Please know that this incident is not reflective of who we are as a union and will not slow our work to achieve a more just society.
