It’s an exciting time in the Arizona-Utah Local. We have our in-person SAG Awards viewing party in Phoenix on Feb. 26. If you’re planning to attend, please RSVP here as soon as possible.
We’re also hosting a virtual happy hour event (no travel required!) that we’re calling our Cyber Cafe Connection on Feb. 15, where we’ll talk about what you, the members, want to talk about and we’ll have fun with a SAG Awards game with the opportunity to win a union swag bag. RSVP here.
I also want to make you aware of the Almost Famous Film Festival 72 Hour Short Film Challenge kick-off party happening on Feb. 17 from 5-7 p.m. at Elevated Seltzer, 5813 N 7th St, Unit 140, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Independent filmmakers will be looking for cast, and with our new Micro Budget Agreement, it’s a potential opportunity for you to flip work union and get some fresh material for your reel.
