Tips on getting back to work with SAG-AFTRA's Return to Work guidelines.

As you have probably already seen, SAG-AFTRA, IATSE, DGA and other industry unions announced their COVID-19 Return to Work Agreement with the AMPTP, and productions are ready to restart.

Productions are returning to work in New England, and new local casting notices have been sent out in the last few days.

As you get back to work, we’d like to give you some tips:

  • COVID-19 testing is a cornerstone in the return to work process. Employers should arrange for and pay for testing for principal and background actors. Actors also get paid a fee when tested on a day they aren't working, $250 for principals and $100 for background. You can see the full testing requirements in the Return to Work Agreement.
  • If you feel unsafe on set or if there is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately, you should call (844) SAFER SET. This number is staffed 24/7, and real-time emergencies are sent to local staff right away.
  • If you need to file a claim inquiry, you can access information on how to do so here
  • You can find out local production and casting information on the New England Local homepage by signing into your member account.

Local staff continues to work remotely, but can be contacted directly:
Susan Nelson, susan.nelson@sagaftra.org
Jessica Maher, jessica.maher@sagaftra.org
Ellen Stoolmacher, ellen.stoolmacher@sagaftra.org
or by emailing the local at newengland@sagaftra.org.

Please stay safe and remember to VOTE!
