Gavel on a table with books in the background

November 5 is election day. While the big national elections always draw the most coverage, this is an important year for Michigan at the state level.

The Multimedia Jobs Act (MMJA) is a bill that would restore film production tax credits to Michigan. The legislation (House Bills 4907-4908) aims to invigorate the state’s economy, foster job growth, and retain local talent. The bill has received a hearing in the State House but is waiting to be heard in the Senate.

In these final weeks before the election, it is crucial time to reach out to your legislators, regardless of party affiliation, and let them know that as a Michigander, this legislation will bring good paying jobs to Michigan and is important to you, their constituents.
