National Executive Director David White Visits Nashville

On Oct. 4, SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director David White stopped by Music Row to visit the Nashville Local.

White’s appearance at the local office coincided with his attendance at the annual International Black Film Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. During his visit, he met with Local Board and committee members to discuss Nashville’s thriving music industry and the uptick in film production in Tennessee and Kentucky.

The following morning, White gave a keynote address at IBFF’s filmmakers’ breakfast. He addressed the festival audience and creative community at large, discussing the changing face of diversity, the impact social justice has had in the industry and how SAG-AFTRA’s initiatives address those areas.
