Members of the New England Local gathered in person with friends and industry partners to toast and celebrate the 29th Annual SAG Awards on Sunday, Feb. 26. Over 225 partygoers filled the main screening room of the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, Massachusetts, to mix and mingle and watch the awards show on the big screen.
The New England Local SAG Awards Committee met for months ahead of the event to select the new venue and make plans for the evening. The lobby was decked out with a dazzling balloon-arched red carpet, while inside the theater, the committee set up a stylish cupcake area, a red-carpeted step-and-repeat, and a prize area. Lucky raffle winners won SAG-AFTRA swag bags at the close of the night.
SAG Awards Committee Co-Chair Ted Garland emceed the night and New England Local President Andrea Lyman welcomed members. A poster was featured in the lobby as a tribute to members lost over the past several years, while new members were welcomed warmly at the event registration with SAG-AFTRA pins.
The Coolidge Corner Theatre staff was fantastic and the art deco movie palace offered the perfect way to celebrate the big night. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the New England Local SAG Awards viewing party one to remember!
