New Mexico Gives Back

Dec. 7 was a trifecta for the New Mexico Local. First, the Local Board met for a 2020 strategic planning session and put a lot of great things in the works for the burgeoning market. This was followed with a well-attended, engaging general membership meeting, where the local talked about the importance of organizing and what members can do to help with the Regional Commercials Code.

But the big draw was casting director Marie McMaster from 505 Studio Works in Albuquerque. A dynamic speaker, McMaster shared anecdotes, industry observations and audition advice. Afterward, local members got to catch up and mingle at a joyful holiday party.

The best part of the event was the food drive held to benefit Inez Elementary School, its students and their families, an important matter to McMaster and local members. Those who brought foodstuffs were entered in a drawing with the chance to win one of several great gift bags.
