The San Francisco-Northern California Local Board hosted a lively party for industry partners at the local’s new office, Suite 840, at 350 Sansome St. in downtown San Francisco on Jan. 30.
The new SAG-AFTRA office welcomed professionals from all aspects of the local news, entertainment and advertising industries with exceptional food, drinks and a live jazz pianist. Producers, casting directors, franchised talent agents, educators, station executives and city officials gathered with Local Board and committee members to discuss the latest activities in the market as well as to devise plans to better educate their peers within their respective fields of expertise. Throughout the evening, the room was lively with enthusiasm for the new initiatives, codes and waivers offered by the union, and many expressed their appreciation for the ability to more readily engage members in all types of work.
It was a great meeting of industry professionals both familiar and new to SAG-AFTRA and its agreements, and all shared a mutual respect for the solidarity they represent.
