SAG-AFTRA delegates to the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, were among the 1,000 union members present at the first Workers’ Congress held in four years. Adding further significance to the March 13 event at L.A.’s Westin Bonaventure Hotel was the swearing-in of the AFL-CIO’s most diverse executive board in its 133-year history, which included SAG-AFTRA Secretary-Treasurer and L.A. Local President Jane Austin and L.A. Local First Vice President Patricia Richardson.
