Los Angeles --- Screen Actors Guild Executive Director/CEO A. Robert Pisano announced today the hiring of Peter C. Frank as deputy national executive director for administration and chief financial officer for SAG effective Monday, January 12. He reports directly to Pisano.

Frank will be responsible for the Guild’s financial, accounting and treasury functions as well as all administration, including human resources and member records management. He will also develop financial forecasts and investment strategies. Building upon improved financial systems implemented at SAG last year, Frank will continue enhancing SAG’s fiscal operations and further streamline systems and processes.

“I’m delighted to welcome Peter to Screen Actors Guild,” Pisano said. “He’ll be an outstanding addition to our management team. His impressive financial expertise and credentials, especially his experience in both the entertainment and technology areas, bring a strong business background to our organization and membership.”

“I look forward to building on the solid foundation put in place over the last two years,” Frank said. “My goal is to make Screen Actors Guild the strongest and most efficient organization possible.”

Frank was most recently the chief financial officer at EnCompass Knowledge Systems, Inc., a privately held software company in Los Angeles that provides consulting services and unique management technology to clients. At EnCompass, Frank helped architect a new business model and led efforts to raise investment capital.

Prior to EnCompass, Frank was the chief financial officer at US Search.com (formerly Nasdaq: SRCH) where he was directly responsible for finance and accounting, investor relations, treasury and administration. He raised debt and equity financing for the company’s growth and led the company’s acquisition efforts, negotiating its first completed corporate acquisition. From 1999 to 2000, he was the chief operating and financial officer at Acacia Research (Nasdaq: ACTG), a technology holding company. In addition to making new investment decisions and providing guidance to portfolio companies, Mr. Frank was responsible for the company’s strategy, financial management and operations.

Frank also possesses extensive entertainment industry experience, serving as chief financial officer at Gramercy Pictures from 1996 to 1999, as vice president, finance and administration at Twentieth Century Fox from 1994 to 1996, and as head of corporate advisory at Fox Inc from 1989 to 1994. He began his career in the audit department of Arthur Young & Company, and is a certified public accountant. Frank has also held seats on the board of directors of several new media and technology companies.

Frank replaces Francesca Hickson who departed SAG in December. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
