On Dec. 4, the SAG-AFTRA Radio Players celebrated the holidays with a special visit to Gene Autry’s Melody Ranch at the Autry National Western Heritage Museum. SAG-AFTRA members and guests enjoyed a special presentation of Old Time Radio featuring original Gene Autry’s Melody Ranch shows. The players recreated the performances of Pat Buttram, Johnny Bond, The Pinafores, The Cass County Boys and Autry, known as “The Singing Cowboy,” at the holiday-themed show. The event featured live music, comedy and drama, giving members an opportunity to showcase their talents.

Karla Buhlman, president of Gene Autry Entertainment, shared trivia about the original show.
