On April 5, the Recording Artists & Singers Committee, known as RASCals, held a lunch meeting featuring Bill Wax, creator and retired programmer of the Sirius XM channel B.B. King’s Bluesville, and Mark Wenner, lead singer/songwriter of the Nighthawks blues band. Wax and Wenner, longtime friends and high school classmates, shared their unique stories of life in the Washington, D.C. blues scene and personal accounts of legends such as B.B. King and popular D.C. rhythm and blues disc jockey Jerry Washington.
