Twenty-one new and veteran SAG-AFTRA members from across the Washington-Mid Atlantic Local joined WMA Local Associate Executive Director Jane Love and senior business representatives Ryan Hastings and Jess W. Speaker III for SAG-AFTRA 101 on March 27. The WMA Local was able to extend access to this presentation to members across the region by inviting members to join in person or via videoconference.
Staff members shared information on the protections provided by SAG-AFTRA contracts and the benefits and resources available to members. Attendees were informed about helpful tools, such as the new Short Project Agreement, the Washington-Mid Atlantic Regional Commercial Code, and the Corporate/Educational and Non-Broadcast waiver, to help members create more SAG-AFTRA opportunities.
If you missed out, don’t worry. This class is presented about three times a year. It is great for new members, members who are getting back into the business after a break, or any member who is interested in learning more about making the most of their membership.
