Recent Improvements to the Low Budget Digital Waiver

SAG-AFTRA and the JPC have agreed to updates to the 2024 Low Budget Digital Waiver.  Between April 1 and June 26, the terms and conditions of the current waiver shall remain in effect. 

The following changes will go into effect on June 27: 

• “Connected” low-budget digital productions are permitted but must be on a different day than the full-budget commercial production; 
• Principal performers shall be paid not less than the 2022 Commercials Contract scale session rate: $783.10 for on-camera performers; $588.90 for off-camera performers;
• For extra performers, not less than the 2022 Commercials Contract general session rate: $427.30;
• Extras shall receive an integration fee at the general session rate: $427.30 for edits;
• Producers must negotiate with principals for edit and use fees. 

The waiver sunsets on March 31, 2025.
