On May 4, SAG-AFTRA joined Gov. Kathy Hochul and New York state labor representatives at a labor rally at the New York Hotel and Gaming Trades Council office in Manhattan to celebrate the many wins for labor in the approved fiscal year 2024 state budget. This year’s budget supports workers and makes the state more affordable. Gains included an increase of the New York state film and TV tax credit from $420 million to $700 million and an extension through 2034.
