SAG-AFTRA mourns the passing of country music giant Roy Clark, who passed away Nov. 15 at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 85.

SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris said, “Roy Clark was an amazing talent in the world of country music and truly an ambassador for the art form. A member of our union for nearly 64 years, he was a major influence on generations of musicians and introduced country music to a new, global audience through television. With a personality that exuded warmth and kindness, it saddens us to bid farewell to this gentle man, but his artistry is forever woven into the fabric of Americana.”
