SAG-AFTRA Nashville Welcomes New Executive Director

The Nashville Local is excited to announce and welcome its new local executive director, Richard Van Syckle. Richard comes to SAG-AFTRA with a wealth of experience in film, TV, news broadcast and music production between Los Angeles and Nashville. He has produced, written and directed many projects with SAG-AFTRA members and he is a firm believer in the union as the artist’s representative. Richard has worked in the Nashville community for the last 10 years with many local and national production companies, including CMT/MTV. Local President Pat Alger served on the search committee and reported, “Most impressive to the committee was the fact that Richard understood our contracts and membership and came to the interview with a clear idea of what this local does, the diversity of the membership and the challenges that lie ahead in the months and years to come.” Richard will be formally introduced to the membership at the June 3 annual meeting.
