In June, the SAG-AFTRA Philadelphia and Los Angeles Locals reached agreements with Entercom Communications for new union contracts at KYW 1060AM in Philadelphia and KNX 1070AM, 94.7 The WAVE and K-EARTH 101.1 FM in Los Angeles.

SAG-AFTRA members nationwide have been engaged in a spring contract campaign involving a multitude of activities, including releasing a public statement by Entercom employees, a petition and letter from the Broadcast Steering Committee in March, and an April resolution from the National Board. Other events, such as a T-shirt week, pizza day, Twitter day and donut day also supported member-led activism on the ground and on social media.

Although these contracts have closed, the campaign is not over, as stations in New York, San Francisco, New England, Ohio-Pittsburgh and Chicago continue to bargain with Entercom. Philadelphia has two more local stations up for negotiation and St. Louis opens its negotiations in July, with Detroit and Minneapolis to follow.
