On Feb. 26, the SAG-AFTRA Philadelphia Local hosted its SAG Awards viewing party in person for the first time since 2020. As Local President Nicole Izanec remarked in her speech, “Philly is distinct, it’s mighty and we are a family here.” That sentiment was felt at the gathering, as upwards of 140 guests enjoyed dinner and drinks and took in the awards ceremony on two large projectors and screens throughout the Southampton Room. Each table included a scorecard for guests to follow along with this year’s nominees. SAG-AFTRA swag was raffled off between acceptance speeches and cheers were abundant as winners were announced.
