The SAG-AFTRA Philadelphia Local’s presence was felt at the 31st Philadelphia Film Festival, where more than 130 films from over 40 countries were screened during the 12-day event. Hosted every October by the Philadelphia Film Society in theaters across Philadelphia, the return of the festival was marked by in-person screenings, festival events and special guests — and attendance was greater than ever. As the showcased films were discussed, so too was the newly announced $500,000 matching grant to the Philadelphia Film Society to renovate the former Prince Theatre.
