On Friday, Aug. 4, SAG-AFTRA had its biggest Los Angeles crowd since the strike began. Thousands of union members, family and friends showed up to NBCUniversal to picket. This event comes after weeks of concerns regarding the safety of sidewalks of NBCUniversal’s designated picket area, and a controversy over NBCUniversal trimming city trees which provided shade to picketers. Recently, NBCUniversal made improvements to their sidewalks and deemed the area safe to return. However, SAG-AFTRA’s crowd proved that the area still needs improvements. The union has requested specific changes to be made, including the addition of K-rails, so that members can safely picket at NBCUniversal. Until then, check out the Picket Schedule & Locations to see where you can show that you are #SagAftraStrong.
