Local leaders across the mid-size and small locals discuss the strike and its impact on their local membership and industries.
[Members in the locals] know it's gonna be a long haul; they know it's gonna be a long haul and are prepared to hunker down and make the best of it until it's all done. I honestly think there's going to be an explosion [of work and projects] when we're done. We're just waiting to reap the benefits of that where we get better benefits, better pay, better residuals and more.

SAG-AFTRA members all over the country continue to project the union’s message of solidarity during the strike. Their efforts have not only brought the union’s fight for a fair contract to local entertainment markets, they have contributed to the union’s work in supporting other sibling unions as the industries transition from “Hot Strike Summer” to autumn.
This podcast episode, "How Small and Mid-Size Locals Are Supporting the Strike," features the locals’ perspective during the strike. The panel features leaders from across the locals, including SAG-AFTRA Dallas-Fort Worth Local member and the TV/Theatrical/Negotiating/Committee member Gail Crouner, New Orleans Local President Jim Gleason, New England Local President Andrea Lyman and Chicago Local-based SAG-AFTRA National Board member and TV/Theatrical Negotiations Committee member Courtney Rioux.
The group discusses how major shifts within the entertainment industry have affected local industries, increased allyship and community-building, and their thoughts on how new gains made will positively impact working-class performers across the country.
Podcast introduction by SAG-AFTRA Executive Vice President Ben Whitehair and National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland.
