SAG-AFTRA Podcast: “Tech Talk: Takeaways from CES 2023”

SAG-AFTRA has maintained a presence at CES, the world’s largest technology showcase, for over 20 years. But while CES is well-known for its focus on innovations seen in everyday products, it has also helped the union and its members better understand how emerging technologies are changing entertainment and media. 

This episode of the SAG-AFTRA podcast offers an understanding of technology from the actor’s perspective. SAG-AFTRA National Innovation & New Technology Committee members Randal Berger, Aubrey Mozino and Dileep Rao join SAG-AFTRA Executive Vice President Ben Whitehair and National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland to recap events from CES 2023. Their conversation offers key insight into the influence of generative AI and AR technology already being seen in movies and television, and further probes the question of whether technology will augment or automate us.
