This is not a time to despair; it’s a time to get to work. Everything you think is wrong with this country is not going to get better if you sit it out.

Carolyn DeWitt

President and Executive Director of Rock the Vote

With Election Day drawing near, it’s undeniable that voting is a fundamental aspect of the democratic process in our country. However, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has strained the process, particularly in communities with limited resources, and officials have had to contend with widespread misinformation about voting for the past few years.

In this episode, hosts SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris and National Executive Director David White discuss voting with Rock the Vote President and Executive Director Carolyn DeWitt and Myrna Pérez, director of the Voting Rights and Elections Program at the Brennan Center for Justice. Listen in as DeWitt and Pérez talk about the many challenges involved with this election season and the ways the voting population can help ensure safe and fair voting for all.
