The SAG-AFTRA Arizona-Utah Local celebrated the 20th Annual SAG Awards at Gallagher's Sports Grill. Held at the same location last year, we found it to be the ideal venue because of the very accommodating staff, the no-host food-beverage menu and the intimate setting. Another real plus was the multiple TV screens encompassing the room. Regardless of where the 60-plus folks in attendance sat, they could easily view the show from any angle.
Our talented members and photographers, Earl Smith and Nancy Hall of Still 'n Motion, ever active for all our functions, photographed moments of the evening, catching priceless and perfect stills of all our members, guests and drawing winners.
They posted the photos here, which cover all the highlights and fun of the evening.

Our two masterful emcees, Arizona-Utah Local President Joe Corcoran and National Board member Margie Ghigo kept the night rolling with announcements, jokes, interviews and prize drawings during the commercial breaks. Joe’s natural laid-back style, along with Margie’s beautiful smile, charm and energy, kept the evening’s merriment rolling along.
After some initial concerns about needing more prizes above and beyond those supplied by SAG-AFTRA, our very own Arizona-Utah Board member Joey Evans came to the rescue with many unique items. It was difficult to pick a favorite; almost like picking a winner on the SAG Awards themselves.
Thanks go out to all those who helped put up the posters and the decorations and made the arrangements. You made our production a huge success and deserve the Best Ensemble Award for your efforts and camaraderie.
Maybe next year we can give out gift bags and I can win Margie's bolero!
Bye for now,
