San Diego Local Educates, Informs and Celebrates at the Annual Membership Meeting and Holiday Party

On Dec. 13, the San Diego Local hosted its annual membership meeting and holiday party. Held at the IBEW Local 569 union hall in San Diego, the 60-plus members in attendance had an opportunity to hear from their elected officers and SAG-AFTRA staff. San Diego Local President Marty Alvillar welcomed the members and encouraged volunteerism. National Board member Don Ahles provided national reports on membership, finance and contracts. Staff member Cynthia Williams closed the meeting with a brief overview of the new Short Project Agreement, which brings together some of the best aspects of the Short Film Agreement and the Low Budget New Media Agreement. As the meeting came to a close, the holiday party began. Known for its food and raffle prizes, this year did not disappoint. There was plenty of delicious food, prizes and fun to end the year with a bang!
