The following is a legislative update being sent on behalf of the Louisiana Film & Entertainment Association

Dear LFEA Members,

This Monday at 9:30 a.m., the Senate Committee Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committee will be holding an informational review of the film tax incentive program.  This goal of this review is to hear how the program has worked over time, not just in the past year.

This committee is just there to listen. No votes or action are going to come from this hearing.

Because our time is limited in front of this committee and for maximum impact, we have coordinated a wide range of testimonials, covering a diverse array of stakeholders including individuals, small business owners and local studio operators/owners.

In addition, we will be submitting and summarizing the over 1,800 testimonies from our membership, film friends and partners throughout the state, making sure your voice is heard.

You will be able to watch this live at http://www.legis.la.gov/legis/home.aspx and by clicking on the video icon for that committee starting at 9:30 a.m.

Thank you for your support as we work to ensure the long term stability and predictability of our industry.

Sincerely,

Robert Vosbein
President, LFEA
