The following is being sent on behalf ofThe International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE)
Last year stage riggers employed by Rhino Staging Northwest voted in favor of union representation by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE, AFL-CIO) Local 15 Seattle, and requested bargaining on a contract. To-date, management has refused to negotiate, and an Unfair Labor Practice charge has been brought against Rhino by the National Labor Relations Board for retaliating against workers who engaged in legal union organizing.
In response, IATSE Local 15 is asking Labor Allies and Supporters to come out and publically support their action against Rhino for their continued refusal to fairly negotiate a contract with employees. SAG-AFTRA members stand in support with our union sisters and brothers. What happens on the set affects us all.
