The Los Angeles Local Seniors Committee held a 55+ Seniors Resource Day workshop series on April 24 at SAG-AFTRA Plaza to provide coaching to SAG-AFTRA members on new marketing and social media techniques. Seasoned actor and marketing instructor Bobby Reed led the morning presentation titled SuperMarketing for Actors, and shared professional tips on best practices for headshots, keeping resumes current and much more. Reed recommended actors have a headshot on IMDb. His conversational style and willingness to engage the audience informed audiences while keeping them entertained.

Social media maven Inetra Brazil led the afternoon presentation Navigating Social Media, which served as a basic overview of how to use Facebook, Instagram and other digital platforms to stay competitive in the industry. She suggested members have separate personal and professional Facebook pages. Union members left informed and empowered to revamp their marketing and social media presence.
