Please be advised that since Oct. 30, the adjunct teachers of the Columbia College Faculty Union (CFAC) have been on an indefinite strike. At an unprecedented 6 weeks, this strike has become the longest higher education strike in U.S. history. Currently, there is no end in sight.
Chicago is a union town. CFAC stood with SAG-AFTRA during our 118-day TV/Theatrical strike for a fair contract and we encourage you to stand by them during this work action.
We urge all SAG-AFTRA members affiliated with or invited to be an instructor or guest artist at Columbia College to respect our siblings’ fight for a fair contract and stand united with CFAC in not crossing the picket line, unless otherwise contractually obligated to do so.
