This year’s event recognizes women power players in entertainment.

SAG-AFTRA members, leadership and staff were in attendance at The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment gala on Dec. 7 in Los Angeles. The event coincides with the trade publication’s release of its yearly Women in Entertainment Power 100 list, which recognizes female leaders and public figures across entertainment and media.

The ceremony also recognized the 2023 participants of THR’s Women in Entertainment Mentorship Program. Each year, the program pairs female high school students from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles with industry professionals in leadership roles. Additionally, the program awards young women more than $1 million in university scholarships. SAG-AFTRA, which remains a proud sponsor of the program, gifted mentees backpacks with school supplies, gift cards and other items. SAG-AFTRA Secretary-Treasurer Joely Fisher and Los Angeles Local President Jodi Long were among those present who presented this year’s backpacks.

SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher was named on this year’s Power 100 list. Read more about her exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
