Local members were eager to support the Newton Teachers Association during their 15-day strike. On Feb. 1, SAG-AFTRA New England members joined nearly 2,000 striking Newton teachers at the Stand With the NTA rally at the Newton Education Center. The strike ended two days later with the NTA winning historic gains.
