On Saturday, March 25, Women in Arts and Media Coalition (WAMCo), New York Women in Film and Television, SAG-AFTRA, the School of Visual Arts, Women in Art and FF2 Media celebrated Support Women Artists Now (SWAN) Day — an international initiative designed to showcase the power and diversity of women’s creativity — with a short film festival at the SVA Theater in Manhattan. After the screenings, there was a discussion led by WAMCo Co-President and SAG-AFTRA N.Y. Local Board member Avis Boone and Jan Lisa Huttner, one of the co-founders of International SWAN Day, followed by a reception to honor women in the film industry and recognize their work.
