On Wednesday, Oct. 12, N.Y. Local Board members and staff joined Gov. Kathy Hochul and New York state leaders at Judson Church in Washington Square Park, where the governor announced an additional $13.4 million in funding from the Abortion Provider Support Fund awarded to 37 providers, covering 64 clinical sites to further expand access to abortion services across the state. New York has historically been a safe harbor for women and continues in that tradition to this day. Also in attendance were Rep. Jerry Nadler, state Sen. Brad Hoylman and Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine.
