Take Action to Protect Film Jobs in Massachusetts!!!
TODAY the State Legislature is holding a public hearing on H. 3978, a bill that would cripple the film & TV production incentive in Massachusetts.
If this bill passes, it will severely restrict the film and television productions that come to Massachusetts and make our state uncompetitive. This would hurt small local businesses across the state and send thousands of Massachusetts’ jobs to competing states.
If H. 3978 was in place, most of the major films that have shot in the Commonwealth over the past 5 years would have been made somewhere else. And despite having 6 television pilots filmed in the state, H.3978 would also destroy the possibility for any future episodic television production in Massachusetts.
Our campaign will be testifying in opposition to this bill and many of our allies will be attending the hearing.
Please use the link below to urge your State Legislators to OPPOSE H. 3978! Even if you have already sent an email, with the public hearing happening today, please use the link to send another.
