Team Homeless Heroes Participates in HomeWalk 5K

Just days after the celebration of Veterans Day, SAG-AFTRA was one of 47 unions that participated under the umbrella of the Los Angeles City Federation of Labor to form Team Homeless Heroes on Nov. 15. The event was presented by MOVE and the SAG-AFTRA Military Personnel and Families Support Committees. L.A. Local Board and National Board members Ellen Crawford and Jon Huertas, and Mark Valley, who served as team captains, were joined by 64 other SAG-AFTRA members for the HomeWalk 5K sponsored by United Way of Los Angeles.

The team was comprised of 700 members for the benefit of helping homeless veterans through safe housing and meals, among other support services.
