Washington–Mid Atlantic Local Continues College Outreach

As part of our on-going commitment to college outreach, SAG-AFTRA Washington–Mid Atlantic Local Associate Executive Director Jane Love traveled to Richmond, VA to talk with approximately 40 students in the Business of Theatre class at Virginia Commonwealth University on Thursday, November 8. Topics covered were the history and mission of the unions, eligibility requirements and costs, and the many benefits of membership.

"Ms. Love's presentation to my class was so informative. I had no idea how much of a resource joining SAG-AFTRA would be for me. In a profession in which there's so much uncertainty, I now feel that there's an organization that can provide a certain aspect of stability in my career.
