Washington-Mid Atlantic members gathered at the Angelika Film Center in Fairfax, Virginia for a private viewing of the 25th annual SAG Awards. The event began with a lively happy hour on the theater’s terrace, where members networked and mingled before being escorted into the cinema for the awards ceremony.
Members and guests cheered on award recipients and engaged in lively trivia competitions during commercial breaks with local staff member Ryan Hastings, who served as the evening’s master of ceremonies.
Odes to solidarity moved through the theater as members listened to the poignant stories and inspirational speeches given by fellow actors like Geoffrey Owens and award recipients Sandra Oh, Darren Criss, Alan Alda and Chadwick Boseman. It was an evening filled with inspiration, networking and plenty of laughs shared among fellow SAG-AFTRA members and union supporters.
