The Gene Siskel Film Center will be hosting The New Breed Film Showcase Volume 2 on Wednesday, Nov. 20, starting at 7 p.m. This quarterly collaboration between Creative Cypher and the Gene Siskel Film Center consists of six films. The event includes a mixer followed by the screening and a Q&A with the filmmakers.

Included in the showcase are the SAG-AFTRA signatory short films 'Til Death by Asha Flowers and 35 Years Til Now by David Saunders, directed by SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local President Charles Andrew Gardner and starring past board member and The Chi star Cedric Young. Patrick Wimp’s new media series Brothers from the Suburbs: Episode 2 & 3, which was done under the SAG-AFTRA New Media Agreement, also will be screened.

The New Breed Film Showcase is focused on highlighting emerging creators and providing an environment of pure creative energy. The New Breed was founded by SAG-AFTRA member and past board member, Troy Pryor. For more information, please click here.
