WMA Sponsors the 2014 AAJA Convention

The Washington-Mid Atlantic local is proud to partner with SAG-AFTRA's News & Broadcast and EEO & Diversity departments in the union's sponsorship of this year’s Asian American Journalists Association Convention, which will take place in Washington, D.C., from Aug. 13 to 16.

With more than 1,600 members across the United States and Asia, since its founding, AAJA has been at the forefront of change in the journalism industry.

AAJA offers a variety of educational, skills training and professional development programs for its student and professional members, as well as guidance on coverage of Asian-American and Pacific Islander issues for the journalism industry and resources on working with the media for the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities.
