SAG-AFTRA is now conducting the 2024 SAG-AFTRA Network Television Code wages and working (W&W) conditions process in preparation for negotiating the Network Television Code, which expires June 30, 2024.

As a young performer (or the parent of a young performer), you have different needs and experiences working in productions produced under the Network Television Code, and your input on our negotiations process is vital.

Please click here to review the portion of the current Network Television Code agreement which concerns the employment of minors. It is important to note that local or state government issues such as work permit processes and state-by-state child performer labor laws are not part of the collective bargaining process and are not covered in these negotiations. Please focus your input on the specific provisions in this contract that refer to young performers.

The National Young Performers Committee would like you to email your ideas about the contract provisions concerning the employment of minors, and would particularly like to know your ideas and concerns about on-set working conditions. Please email your concerns and ideas to YoungPerformers@sagaftra.org by April 12, 2024.

Please reference “Young Performer W&W” and your SAG-AFTRA local in the subject line.
