SAG-AFTRA works to ensure members receive the most updated, and often crucial, agency information in a timely manner. Franchised agency surrenders or closures are an essential part of these efforts, as a sudden change in SAG-AFTRA’s relationship with a franchised agent, lawyer, manager or other professional representative can leave you vulnerable. It is why it’s essential to make sure your business contacts are updated frequently online: If SAG-AFTRA has not associated you with a particular agency and we are not informed by either you or the agency that you are in a business relationship, the union has far fewer opportunities to get you the news that you need to know.

Luckily, the solution is simple! Log in to your account at sagaftra.org, access the “Agency Info” tab in the “My Information” section on the main page, and click on “Representation Update Form.” Only franchised agents can be added/changed at the top of the form. Managers and other business contacts who are not agents can only be added/changed at the bottom of the form. The process is entirely paperless, with all your representation records automatically filed with our office upon completing the process online. No emails, no fax, no snail mail, no mess/stress — easy peasy.
